Back from a weekend in Galveston!

Mom's family had its annual get-together this past weekend. One of my cousins found this great old ramshackle house for rent just off Broadway, and 5 blocks from the seawall.

We packed 25 people in the 3 story house, and had a few more who live in the area drop by for a couple of days of fun & food.

Note to self: You're much too old to be sleeping on a love seat! Bring an air mattress next time!

I ate way too much, but reunion season is over until next year. Diet or no diet, it's impossible to resist giant platters of grilled & stuffed shrimp from Casey's Seafood Café!!

I'm thinking the rental place has serious blogmeet and/or LAN party potential. Check out the website and see what you think...

I got up early and wandered down to the seawall to watch the sun come up.
