Chief Justice Rehnquist Dead At 80

Looks like GWB will get another shot at stacking the court. Unfortunately, I get the impression that Bush will follow in GHWB's footsteps and appoint another moderate conservative that will probably slowly morph into a left-leaning centrist.

Now I'm off to go mock that frilly concoction that Ginsburg (and O'Conner, pre-retirement) wears over her judicial robes. I find it funny that in this age of relative equality that the female justices feel the need to wear doilies on their chests.

OK, in Ginsburg's case, you probably need that visual reference to gender. What is it with Clinton appointees? Between Ginsburg, Reno, and Albright, you get the idea he didn't like attractive women at all. Then again, he was probably diverting attention from his interns...
